With the community's support, Westbury-on-Severn Parish Council has initiated the development of a Parish Plan to lead to a livelier, more prosperous community.

A Parish Plan:

is a statement of how the community sees itself developing over the next few years and the actions needed to achieve this;

can be used as a lever to influence a wide range of organisations and services that affect the parish; and to support grant applications for community projects;

is based on information collected through consultation, community participation, survey and research;

involves the whole community in its production, with the Parish Council taking the lead responsibility.

To make the Plan a success, we need your help! There are many different ways to get involved, and whatever time or skills you can offer will be very welcome. You might want to work on the plans for a particular project such as the Health Centre or parish play facilities; help with consultation or fund-raising (e.g. by delivering and analysing questionnaires, talking to specific groups in the parish, or taking part in events like a stall at the Westbury Summer Show); or you might want to send us your views now about what you would like to see happen in the parish.
